QPE provides a step-by-step, easy to follow lesson plan that works towards development of Physical Literacy and wholesome development of the children from Grade K – 12. The enhanced in-school curriculum provides resources like lesson plans, teacher training, and equipment support offering quality PE programme. It ensures equal opportunity for all students to access a well-balanced and inclusive curriculum
QPE progress towards the acquisition of psychomotor, social and emotional skills which develops wholesome personality of the children. It also emphasizes the value of physical literacy as a key developmental milestone contributing to physical competency. QPE provides a wide range of movement opportunities that develops the skills, knowledge and confidence in children to be active for life.
Movement Skills
Unlimited movement opportunities to develop Fundamental Movement Skills and Sports Skills.
- 150 minutes of Moderate/Vigorous Physical Activity (PA) per week.
- Lesson Plans/Activity Cards for each session
- Periodical assessment to track their PL level.
- Basic skills of events such as athletics, volleyball, basketball, cricket, badminton, tennis, football, table tennis etc. will be developed.
- Meets the required learning outcomes for school Physical Education curriculum
Skills Taught
Students will be taught to:
- Master basic movements like running, jumping, throwing and catching
- Develop sports skills like balance, agility and coordination and apply in wide range of activities
- Participate in team games, cooperatively and then competitively, developing simple tactics for attacking and defending in a range of challenging environments.
Skill Theme Approach
The lessons plans are prepared within a Skill Theme Approach in which the focus is on helping children become skillful movers so that they can successfully participate in physical activities. In this approach the primary goal is to develop competency in basic motor skills and confidence to try and enjoy a variety of sports and physical activities. It is a road map that will help PE teachers’ “guide children in the process of becoming physically active for lifetime”
